HubSpotting: New and notable in HubSpot, Apr. 2025

Here are HubSpot’s top 5 new features and updates to help you get the most out of the platform in April 2025.

As the weather warms up, good things are sprouting up at HubSpot!

Here’s a rundown of our favourite features unveiled since our last update. Most come at no additional cost for subscribers.

Apply colors to property options (all subs) – Tired of black, white and orange? Now you can apply red, yellow, or green dots to a custom ‘status’ property, so that users can immediately focus on blockers when viewing an index page table. You can also colour-code a default ‘type’ property such as lead type or deal type, so that you can quickly glance at a record and understand what category it falls into. (details)

‘Create’ and ‘Association’ permissions for objects (all subs) – We’re excited about two updates to permissions. The first, which is available now, isolates the permission to create an object like Contact, Company or Deal vs. the ability to edit it.  The second new permission, available in beta, enables you to restrict who has the ability to associate one object with another. Three cheers for beta data hygiene!

Schedule automatic exchange rate updates (beta, starter and up) – Maintaining accurate and up-to-date exchange rates is crucial for businesses operating in multiple currencies. Now you can automate exchange rate updates monthly, quarterly, or annually, eliminating manual work and ensuring accuracy. (details)

Automatically update deal properties after meetings with the Fathom app for HubSpot (all subs, Fathom Team Edition pro) – We’ve shared how Fathom brings AI transcriptions into HubSpot and even automates tasks. Now they’ve gone a step further by sync notes and other info to actual Deal properties! If you use a sales methodology like Sandler or MEDDPICC this will be a huge benefit. (details)

Block free email domains from scheduling meetings (Sales Starter and up) – If you’ve been blocking free email domains from form submissions, you’ll love this new feature to only book meetings with ‘real’ prospects or customers. (details)
